This name has a good reason as from the 17th century a number of professional scholars, scientists, and experts have been trying to make sense of the drawings and illustrations used in this manuscript, the drawings include plants, astrological symbols, naked female figures emerging from the tubes and most of all a unique and unknown writing system.
For those who are curious to have a look Click here for a slide show.
Some of the pages are missing yet the current version contains about 240 pages, mostly with illustrations, it looks like some sort of ancient infographic that contains information and graphics regarding something but the origins and details are still not known to mankind.
The mystery surrounding this books has created many fantasies and stories, but none of these myths and claims have been verified.
This script is currently at Yale university, where it is cataloged under call number MS 408, it measures about (9.3 * 6.4 * 2.0 In), it has some numbering gaps, suggesting that this manuscript is missing some pages and the book is not in its original order, perhaps this is the reason it hasn't been deciphered because its not in the right order? may be upside down? reverse numbering? go figure.
Where as some the experts have strong belief that this script has Latin origins and the text contains some sort of useful information, some others belief that it is a hoax and perhaps contains no information as the book dealer Voynch, who is also responsible for the name of this book can easily fabricate this book and some the experts have also recorded excessive repeatations of words in the text so that also supports the belief that this might be a hoax or just an attempt to seek attention.
For those who think its real The Voynch manuscript still remains on of the unsolved mysteries and perhaps one of the worlds ancient infographic written centuries ago.
